Kids These Days
- Kids These Days
- I met these kids at the local coffee shop and was immediately captivated by them. There was something about them that I found quite intriguing as they sat on the threshold of adulthood. After a brief little chit chat, I pitched them on the idea of doing a photo shoot. I didn't realize it at the time, but they ranged in age from 14-16 years and had to clear it with their parents first. Needless to say, the parents were cool with it and gave the green light. During the course of our shoot, it came out that they were all Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the same church. I would be lying if I said that this didn't totally shatter the stereotype that I had previously held of senior citizen's in trench coats and fedoras handing out copies of the Watchtower and Awake.

Description
The coolest Jehovah's Witnesses I've ever met.

Greening The Bridges
There is an area not far from Vancouver that I find to be incredibly intriguing in a visual sense. However, every time that I would pass it, I would be doing just that, passing it. Finally, in December of 2011, I was able to stop and really explore it. Much to my surprise, this just happened to be the day that the hills were being sprayed with a brilliant green grass seed which adds an extra element of surrealism to this already bizarre landscape.

The Salton Sea
Once marketed as an inland beach getaway to the Palm Springs martini set, the Salton Sea now lays claim to being the site of one of the greatest man made disasters in US History. When one visits today, they are left to experience the haunted remains of a paradise past. These photographs are my testament to the beauty of that decay.
